About

Simply, this blog is to keep track of my travels and to let loved ones know that I’m alive.

I’ve decided to blog because since starting travelling, I have kept a personal journal with me. After my travelling companion Fred, it’s the first thing I pack. Well, my journal and a pen, maybe some underpants.

I’m not looking for this site to get much traction, but in case you don’t know me, my name is.

I’m a 22-year-old Englishman who solo travelled a handful of times whilst studying Maths at university.
After gaining my Masters, I obtained a great graduate job in Manchester, that I enjoyed and I started to make a comfortable life for myself.

I had always wanted to go on a long round the world (RTW) trip and, during my first year at work, numerous factors in my life changed which allowed me to start my trip sooner than I thought.

So that’s where you find me; I’m currently planning an RTW trip with the intention of departing on Sunday 25th June.

Safe travels, Apples out.
